Weather Conditions Influence on Lavandin Essential Oil and Hydrolate Quality

Lavandula sp. essential oil and hydrolate are commercially valuable in various industry branches with the potential for wide-ranging applications. This study aimed to evaluate quality of these products obtained from L. x intermedia cv. ‘Budrovka’ first time cultivated on Fruška Gora Mt. (Serbia) during three successive seasons (2019, 2020, 2021). Essential extraction was by steam distillation, composition influence weather conditions were also assessed, using flowering tops. The oils hydrolates analysed gas chromatography a flame ionization detector (GC-FID) coupled mass spectrometry (GC-MS). A linear regression model developed predict volatile compound content years, according temperature precipitation data, appropriate coefficients calculated, while correlation analysis employed analyse correlations compounds. To completely describe structure research data that would present better insight into similarities differences among diverse samples, PCA used. most dominant oxygenated monoterpenes: linalool, 1,8-cineole, borneol, linalyl acetate, terpinene-4-ol. It is established positively correlated all precipitations main compounds (linalool, borneol), other compounds’ negatively precipitation. results indicated has suitable agro-ecological requirements cultivating providing satisfactory hydrolate.
